What is prostate adenoma?
Prostate adenoma is a benign tumor affecting men (around 75-85% of men over 40-50 years develop a microscopic prostate adenoma). The prostate adenoma is evolving slowly, over the years, so it can only be discovered in time if it is regularly controlled.
The prostate is a gland at the base of the bladder, found only in men and it surrounds the upper part of the urethra. When we talk about prostate adenoma, the prostate is enlarged in size and obstructs the urethra, affecting the patient’s quality of life.
